It was during this period that the "Barrosã" breed reached a strong expansion, boosted by the high value of the castrated and fattened adult cattle, and then, after serving the houses of the little farmers, they were sold on the quay of Porto to be consumed in England under the glorious expression Portuguese Beef - still found today in UK restaurants specializing in meat menus classified as Denomination of Origin Protected (DOP).

A Importers Mission "Portuguese Beef Tasting - Santarém" took place on 6 and 7 July 2018 in Santarém, Portugal.
The Importers Mission lasted two days and was held at Santarém Hotel.
Among other activities, there was a Show cooking and tasting with the seven types of meat covered by the brand, prepared by Portuguese chefs with the participation of international ones.
February 26 and 27, 2019 - Ponte de Lima, Portugal
The Importers' Mission Portuguese Beef Tasting - Ponte de Lima took place on February 26 and 27, 2019 in Ponte de Lima, Portugal.
The Importers' Mission lasted two days and was held, mostly in the Hotel Paço do Vitorino. In two days, visitors from various international markets were invited to visit Portugal and participate in various activities that allowed the knowledge and tasting of meat products of Portuguese autochthonous breeds.
March 29, 2019 - Braga
The "Portuguese Beef - Contribution to the Internationalization of Portuguese Bovine Meat" was held on 29 March at 10:30 am on AGRO2019.
The purpose of this session was to share the activities and results achieved with the project. FERA takes a very positive view of the project, believing that it motivated other entities for the importance of the theme of internationalization and for participation in future projects.
